(Thomas Dishaw) The war on guns continues in this country as the number one retailer, Walmart, will no longer be stocking modern sports rifles, such as the AR-15, nor semi-automatic shotguns with a magazine capacity of seven or more rounds .
Walmart claims the move was not political, even though “representatives” took meetings with then Attorney General Eric Holder in 2013 to discuss their stance on guns.
Over the years Walmart has continued to betray gun owners as Time Magazine reports:
Back in 2006, Walmart stopped selling guns at a third of its stores, citing a lack of demand and “diminished customer relevancy.” Instead, it replaced firearms with other sporting goods like home fitness and exercise products. According to a 2006 New York Times article, this move coincided with florist Dublin shift away from rural areas and toward cities and suburbs.
But when the recession hit in 2009, even “everyday low prices” couldn’t keep sales from slumping. Walmart experienced seven straight quarters of same-store sales declines in the U.S., triggering the retailer to expand its product selection. Among the additions: fishing rods, craft and sewing supplies, and guns.

Too bad walmart… See you later you gutless company. I will go shop with a company that doesn’t cave on every single issue. A company that stands for something and doesn’t fall for everything. Apparently falling prices will not be your only slogan going forward. Falling customers (refuse to shop there) can be added to that as well.

For myself, Walmart is the LAST place I would look to shop for Firearms or ammunition. And why is that? They (Walmart) are in fact part of the problem and ARE NOT part of the solution. They are the ones who are supporting United States Illegal Gun Confiscation efforts. They are participating in the support of Jade Helm and having U.S. Military operate on U.S. Soil aka Pose Commitadus, Walmart = Bottom Feeders.
you are right and when you purchase a firearm from the marxist red bastard Chinese held company, they violate your privacy rights and gun rights, they send the information along with the serial number directly to the department of homeland Islamic approved sacrifice , which should never have such information on a buyer. they are in violation of all sorts of laws.

Looks like I will try my best to avoid Walmart’s stance against 2nd Amendment rights. Little purchases I will start with and try to work myself up and keep this in mind when I am at other stores and purchase there instead.

I stopped shopping at Walmart last April when I heard about their stores closing and other practices. I was almost a daily shopper and it is surprising how one can do without Walmart. I have no plan of going into another of their stores. Anything they sell, I can buy elsewhere.
